Background
George Adegboye whose birth name is George Olawale Adegboye was born on December 7, 1958. He was born in Offa, a renown town in Kwara State, Nigeria. His father Mr. Samuel Adegboye was a polygamist and was also the Chief Executive of Education in Nigeria, precisely in the North.
He had his early life in most of the prominent places in Northern Nigeria such as Borno, Katsina and Kano. He attended Offa Grammar School in the year 1969 through 1973. He graduated from the prestigious University of Ibadan in 1978. He also bagged his Masters degree in the same University. After the mysterious death of his father, he was scared and sought out for protection for fear of being killed.[2]
I went into occultism because when my father died in 1973, it was believed that he was killed by some people who had diabolical powers.
So, I got myself involved in occultic practice as a way of protecting myself.
And it was that bad.
Between 1973 to 1980, I was involved in so many occultic practices.
Career
Rev George Adegboye formerly worked as a Lecturer in Ilorin at the Kwara State Polytechnic. It was during his time as a lecturer that he felt led to go into ministry. Asides being the lead Pastor of Rhema Chapel Ministry, He is also the President and founder of the Word of Victory Bible Training Institute and the Young Ministers Teaching School, where he organizes several training classes.
I have been traveling all over the world preaching the gospel of salvation.
I lectured at the Kwara State Polytechnic for two years before veering into full time ministry.
He also anchors a Television program every Sunday for 30 minutes between the hours of 2.00-2.30pm on the Nigerian Television Authority, Ilorin. He is popularly known for his ability to quote the scriptures off hand.[4] He is also a spiritual mentor to both Pastor Sam Adeyemi and Pastor Victor Adeyemi.
