Gemma started her career in 2012 as an Investment Banking Intern at J. P. Morgan. In 2013, she was a Summer Fellow at Ogilvy & Mather. From 2013 to 2015, she worked as an account executive at OgilvyOne. In 2015, she rejoined Ogilvy & Mather as a Creative Lab Technologist and later became a Tech Innovation Strategist. In 2017, she worked as a Freelance Senior Tech & Science Copywriter at R/GA.
In 2016, Gemma became the Co-founder of Science: Disrupt, a media platform hosting open discussions about disruption of the science industry with the iconoclasts, innovators and entrepreneurs intent on creating change. Since 2016, Gemma has been a freelance writer, covering various topics across tech, science, health innovation and culture. She has worked with publications including Forbes, The Guardian, BBC, Quartz, SynBioBeta, and others.
