Gary Holmes is a 33 year old who was arrested in connection to the shooting death of Acen King. ^[0]He surrendered to authorities on December 22, 2016. ^[0]

Holmes was booked into jail for one charge of capital murder and two charges of a terroristic act. ^[0]

Acen King died on December 17, 2016, after a shot was fired into a vehicle in which he was riding. His injuries were not discovered until his grandmother, Kim King-Macon arrived at a shopping center several miles away. ^[1]

The Little Rock Police Department says the shooting occurred during a road rage incident at the intersection of Mabelvale Cut-off Road and Warren Drive. The grandmother told officers a car had stopped behind her at a stop sign and honked the horn. She said the driver, who was identified as Holmes, then got out of his vehicle and fired a shot at her vehicle. ^[1]
