She was born in Palo Alto, California to Israeli parents. By the time that she was in junior high, she and her family moved back to Israel . She later returned during her high school years. 
Galia was the CEO of Particle Code (acquired 2011) and one of its founders. Before Particle Code, Galia co-founded Mytopia, a leading social games business acquired by 888 (LSE: 888). At Mytopia, Galia ran business development and helped raise its first round of financing. 
She later became a venture partner for Founders Fund. 
She has since founded Bancor. The Bancor protocol Foundation was established in 2017 in order to promote the development and adoption of the Bancor protocol, a standard for the creation of intrinsically tradable tokens. 
She is an avid recycler and aspiring yogi.
