Early Life & Education

Gabriel Debenedetti is a native of New Jersey. He graduated from Princeton University, earning a Bachelor's degree in Politics. While there, he was the editor-in-chief of The Daily Princetonian*.*

Career

Reuters

Adam was once a national politics reporter for Reuters, where he was based in both Washington D.C. and New York City.

Politico

Debenedetti spent three years as a national political reporter at Politico. There, he covered Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, and the Democratic Party during the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Afterwards, he wrote about national politics in the age of Donald Trump and events leading to the elections in 2017 and 2020.

New York Magazine

On April 2, 2018, Gabriel Debenedetti joined as a contributor to their News & Politics vertical Daily Intelligencer. He also writes features for their print magazine. New York Magazine editor-in-chief Adam Moss said in his announcement:

“Gabe has a remarkable record of documenting the complex dynamics at play in campaigns and breaking big stories about candidates,” says Moss.

“We are excited to be bringing his reporting talents to bear in covering two of the more important elections in American history.”[3]

On April 22, 2018, Debenedetti wrote a piece entitled, "Bernie Sanders Is Quietly Building a Digital Media Empire." He appeared on Sam Seder talking about his online presence.

Awards & Accomplishments

Aside from his aforementioned publications for whom he was worked, Debenedetti's writing has also appeared in The Economist and The New Republic. [3]

As of March 2020, Debenedetti has about 53,000 followers on his gdebenedetti Twitter account, where he comments on current political events. He also has about 1,000 followers on his gdebenedetti Instagram account, where he posts his everyday life photos.[5][9]
