Gabisile Tshabalala Gabisile Tshabalala, is a South African Actress, presenter and Singer best known for her role as Pinkie Mojeki in the SABC 2 drama series Hola Mpintshi.^[1]

She was raised by her grandparents in Soshanguve, Pretoria. Her mother remarried when she was in primary school. Even though she was the shy type, she said that it is her stepfather’s outgoing personality that encouraged her to come out of her shell and this is how she started gaining confidence in herself. ^[2]

She was born on 20 June 1990.

Gabisile wasn’t keen on attending classes in high school so she rather participated in extramural activities such as Athletics, singing and cheer leading but had no interest in school. She spent her days either practicing with her singing group Urram or learning how to play the piano. In matric, she stopped attending School regularly and only went to classes to write tests or exams and submit assignments. Her mother, however, understood that her talent and interest were in the arts.

After matric, the young star enrolled at ATS Helicopters because she wanted to be an air hostess and for Performance classes at the State Theatre in Pretoria. Although she initially wanted to be an air hostess, she ended up taking her mother’s advice and pursued being a pilot instead.

So she juggled school and Theatre classes for three months and then dropped out to focus on theatre full time. A month later, she saw an advertisement for auditions for South African Broadcasting Corporation youth drama series Hola Mpintshi and went for the auditions and two callbacks later, she landed the role of the main character, Pinkie. ^[5]

Her big break came through SABC 1 TV drama series Intersexions. The show opened many doors for her as she then appeared on many roles in productions across the SABC that include Fallen, Single Guys, Intersexions and Generations, as well as on e.tv Soap opera Scandal!, where she acted for two years.

In 2014, she had a guest starring role in the Mzansi Magic Sitcom Kota Life Crisis.

She also decided to pursue presenting and in 2017, she became the co-host on the SABC1 variety talk show Throwback Thursday – #TBT where she showcased her fun side.

Gabisile received Best Supporting Actress in a Drama nomination at the SAFTAs in 2011 for the role of Pinkie on Hola Mpintshi.

Gabisile Tshabalala revealed the baby daddy to her first child in 2015.

According to Yahoo!, Gabisile was expecting a baby with her on-screen lover Ndumiso played by Andile Sithole. They continued their their On-screen romance in reality and together were expecting a baby girl in October 2015. She shared on Instagram that that Andile is indeed her baby daddy. Gabisile also revealed how he is spoiling her with lots of presents.

Gabisile has a Daughter by the name Sanchia, who she says has taught her so much.
