Frank & Son Collectible Show is a collectible, toy and trading card show that was founded in 1988 by collectors Frank and Janet Zamarripa. The show started in a 5,000 square foot warehouse belonging to the Frank & Son Warehousing And Trucking Company. The venue is located in City of Industry, California. [1][15][16][17][18][19]
Overview
The Frank & Son Collectible show was first put on in 1988 by Frank and Janet Zamarripa in a 5,000 square foot warehouse belonging to the Frank & Son Warehousing And Trucking Company.
By 1997, they upgraded to a 65,000 square foot warehouse in City of Industry, California.
The show consists of a plethora of vendors peddling wares such as comics, action figures, trading cards, video games, sports memorabilia, Hot Wheels and all sorts of other toys and collectibles. They have always offered free parking and admission. For the first 20+ years they were only open on Wednesdays from 3pm - 9pm and Saturdays from 9am - 5pm, but they opened up to Sundays too from 10:00am - 5:00pm.
On January 1st of 2020, the show moved from their warehouse at 19649 San Jose Ave to a former Sam's Club at 17835 Gale Ave. General Manager Johnny Gagne thinks of the event as a sort of amusement park:[2]
