Francis Davidson is an entrepreneur and business executive. He is the CEO of Sonder, an online marketplace for individuals to book apartments or homes that upkeeps the standards of a hotel experience. [4]

Early Life & Education

Davidson attended McGill University. He did not graduate, as he needed 6 credits to complete before he decided to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors. [2]

Sonder

In 2012, while he was a student at McGill University, Davidson started renting out his apartment in college in Montreal.

In January 2014, he and his co-founder Lucas Pellan started Sonder. Formerly known as Flatbook, Davidson and Pellan created a platform similar to Airbnb that rents out entire floors or entire apartment buildings and turns them into rentable apartments for travelers and short-term stays. [1]

Since starting the business, Sonder has raised over $46 million from venture capitalists.

In November 2017, Davidson and his co-founder Lucas Pellan were selected to be in Forbes 30 Under 30 for 2018; they were listed in the 'Consumer Technology' category. [0]
