Advocacy

Outside of his human rights advocacy, Francis Baraan also sponsored the "I Am Not Immoral" event, a video-photo project working to stop discrimination against the LGBT community.

Celebrity photographer Niccolo Cosme and LGBT activists Jethro Patalinghug and Bruce Portugal Amoroto joined him in organizing the event. Fillipino politician Risa Hontiveros, who is well known as a LGBT ally, was the guest of honor.

Social Media Activism

Francis Baraan IV is well known for his social media activism.

As of May 2019, he has more than 76,000 Twitter followers. His anti-Duterte and anti-Trump tweets have become popular among the human rights and liberal crowd from all over the world, especially those from the Philippines and USA.

Being a human rights advocate & pro-democracy social media activist, Francis Baraan's posts on social media are critical of President Rodrigo Duterte and his controversial War on Drugs policies, which have been criticized by many human rights organizations. He is also critical of the policies of President Donald Trump.

He has also slammed Senator Manny Pacquiao, a staunch ally of President, when the senator said the Bible says it's okay for the government to kill people. This did not sit well with Baraan and went on Twitter to voice out his disagreement with Pacquiao's statement.

Another vocal Duterte supporter, Filipino actor Robin Padilla, was also slammed by Baraan, when the actor posted a video of himself on Facebook saying former Senator Franklin Drilon, was violating the Constitution, and after the actor hit the critics of President Duterte.
