Scaling Plan

Hardware Specifications

Since there’s currently no data or actual usage of the EOS network, eosmeso's scaling plan depends on gathering statistics from the first 3 months of network operations. If by any chance the network requires more power before they finish gathering the usage data, their cloud provider can double their servers specs almost instantly. [10]

By being able to increase in hardware specifications in no time, the next milestone in the roadmap is to expand into another geographical location. [10]

Geographical Expansion

One of the advantages of working out of MesoAmerica is that eosmeso can be in many jurisdictions at once. eosmesowill not only make providers compete to retain its business, eosmeso will also make jurisdictions compete to win its business. eosmeso believes that in order to benefit the network the most, eosmeso has the responsibility of being able to change locations at short notice. eosmeso's contract with the first provider allows it to switch countries in a matter of days. [10]

Community Projects

eosmeso understands the compounding positive effects for the entire EOS network of using a proportion of BP rewards to directly fund projects in the community. eosmeso has chosen several established institutions, whose work can be amplified by a continuous stream of funding and whose contact with eos in this way should lead to more and more people knowing about the virtues of our system and adopting the use of it. [11]

1% of revenues will go to ceiba.io to continue providing free of charge content and meetups to educate the public about blockchain tech and gather the brightest in the field of innovation and showcase their work to the community. Should BP rewards be ample, a 21 person committee will decide what developer bounties are most needed locally to have members of the community work on. [11]

Each of the following institutions will receive 0.3705% of the block rewards, to continue their work. As partners in the BP, they will receive support from the team to adopt the emerging tools that come from EOS to empower them to better achieve their already admirable results:

Plantemos 1000 arboles will be able to plant more trees and develop tools for certification of the plantings, the hours spent by volunteers doing so and the management of funds received to do so. [11] [12]

Programa Valentina is accelerating the employment of youth in the technological field, more funding for them means more scholarships for disadvantaged youth. [11] [13]

Asociación de Amigos del Lago de Atitlán , will use the funding to continue the planning of the Lake Atitlán Rescue Unit, a water utility, wastewater management and energy generating infrastructure to rescue from pollution the most important freshwater source in the region. [11] [14]

eosmeso will continue to identify high impact and proven organizations to share its rewards with, and retain the right to discontinue the allocation of BP rewards to any of the above mentioned institutions in the case that the quality of their deliveries does not satisfy its expectation. [11]

Block Producer Roadmap

eosmeso's value proposition to the EOS blockchain is based on 3 pillars:

eosmeso believes that a worldwide network supporting user owned data is crucial to the peaceful, abundant and prosperous future it wants to co-create. A fast, safe and usable EOS blockchain is its priority. [16]

eosmeso believes that it can add great value to the EOS blockchain by using the world class internet and data center infrastructure already in place in the MESOAMERICA region and always have its choice of providers competing to win its business. Mesoamerica is a keystone in the topology of the internet infrastructure and eosmeso believes it can leverage this fact to benefit the EOS blockchains speed and reliability. Guatemala alone has 5 outlets to the world internet. [16]

eosmeso believes that in order to protect the network, it must be able to pick and choose which jurisdictions to be in, and have many options to migrate to, to ensure honest participants that their blockchain is resilient. Should one of the particular jurisdictions in the region become hostile towards its activities, it can simply switch to one of the friendlier ones. The operation is starting in Guatemala but can change in two days time, to any of the following: Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica , Panama , Paraguay , Bolivia or the combination of any of the above. [16]

eosmeso believes in teamwork and aligned incentives. eosmeso has assembled a truly amazing group of partners eager to use the powerful tools being developed within EOS and incorporate them into their businesses. eosmeso has partners from very diverse backgrounds ranging from the who’s who of startup world in the region to film directors that have raised funding with help of the blockchain and anywhere in between. [16]

eosmeso believes in promoting itself to eos holders as one of the long term value builders for EOS and not a short term source of “extra tokens”. eosmeso will vote for others who like it, show a combination of technical strength, favorable local conditions and community network effects. [16]

Position on Dividends

eosmeso believes that earning votes from eos holders should be a result of their belief that it can take care of producing blocks efficiently, and are effectively strengthening the network and fostering the adoption of EOS in MesoAmerica. [17]

eosmeso will not pay eos in exchange for votes, nor any other currency other than kind words and grateful emotion. [17]

eosmeso does plan to incentivize the sharing of its proposal amongst eos voters with a “chance to win” commemorative items like tshirts, pins and other collectibles, but ONLY for sharing with others its proposals and inviting them to CONSIDER a vote for eosmeso. eosmeso believes eos holders will benefit the most from a strategic, ethical vote, and plan to tell them so. [17]

Most of eosmeso's BP rewards will go to its community of partners in exchange for their support with USD funding. eosmeso is doing a private offering to local people and wish to invite more strategic partners as time goes on, who will be receiving the eos that eosmeso.io earns from producing blocks and using them in the local economy. [17]

eosmeso believes this model is the best for its situation and will result in an eos economy in the region. [17]
