Emily Flitter is an American journalist based in New York, New York. She is a banking reporter at the New York Times. ^[1]

Flitter graduated from Wellesley College in 2004, with a Bachelor's degree in fine and studio arts. She later attended New York University, where she received a Master's degree in journalism.

Prior to her current role at The New York Times, she was an environment correspondent at Reuters News. She was also a reporter at American Banker and contributed to the Wall Street Journal.
