Elliott Neese was born January 26, 1982 in Alaska, United States. He is a reality TV star, fishing ship captain and professional Fisherman, who came to prominence following his appearance in the reality TV show “Deadliest Catch”.

Early Life

Elliott Neese was born January 26, 1982 in Alaska USA, as Elliot Nicodemus Neese. Growing up in Alaska, he was introduced to fishing at an early age and he was fishing on his own when he was only 12 years old. Gradually, his skills improved, and before he was 20, he was already a fishing boat captain. He would start as a deck boss, and after a few years, he progressed to a position of boat’s engineer and sub-captain as well, before he gained that much trust to become a captain himself. Elliot negotiated the American education system in Alaska as a child and a teenager with moderate success, but study and academic learning was never going to be his first love

Personal

Elliott Nicodemus Neese was set up for success right from his early days.

One of the youngest captains in the reality TV show Deadliest Catch. On the helm of the Rambling Rose, he has a calming presence. His natural charisma and sense of adventure were admired by fans of the show. But underneath his cool demeanor, he had a will of fire. He understood his principles and rarely strayed away from them.

As a result, he would often get in arguments with the owner of the Rambling Rose.

His temper was always a problem; he would express his anger on his girlfriend and children which would lead to their separation.

His life spiraled down into drug and alcohol abuse, and he was left without a ship and family as well.

He started a new life by admitting himself into a Malibu rehabilitation clinic where he spent 60 days, and continued his Drug rehabilitation by becoming a part of the Ibogaine detox program in late 2016.

Although cured, he decided not to return to the “Deadliest Catch”, and since then he has been out of the spotlight, traveling, fishing and surfing with his new girlfriend, Erika Fridenbergs.

Before leaving “Deadliest Catch”, Elliot was in a relationship with long-time girlfriend Valerie Gunderson.

However, as his problems started surfacing, Valerie left him and took their two children with her, and filed for a [4] restraining order against him.

Nevertheless, since coming out of rehab, Elliot has been visiting the children and is slowly regaining their trust.

Career

Elliott’s debut appearance in Reality television came in the ninth season of the series. This was back in 2013 and Elliott remained with the series till the 11th season. He captained the Rambling rose for the whole of the 7th and 8th seasons. In one of the episodes in the 8th season, Elliott argued with the owner of Rambling Rose. The young captained refused to go out in the storm when the owner wanted to.

After the argument with the owner of Rambling Rose,he decided to jump ship.

In the ninth season, he came back to the show with his ship, The Saga.

Aboard his ship, he ran the waters of the Bering Sea with new confidence. He remained with the series till the end of the 11th season. At the end of the 11th season, he decided to bow out from captainship and handed over the reins to Jake Anderson.

He started on the boat called Rambling Rose, on which he sailed into the show Deadliest Catch in 2005. While in the show,he became one of the most praised characters, beloved by all, but unfortunately his dark side slowly started to surface. Problems started brewing with the rest of the crew, and after a while, he left the ship. Nevertheless, at the time he had already been a part of “Deadliest Catch” for a number of seasons, and his popularity rose through the roof. He returned shortly after with a new ship, entitled The Saga, with which he ruled the cold Alaskan waters for two seasons, before his personal problems left him stranded, away from both work and family.

He is quite active on Social media with more than 50,000 followers on his official Twitter account, which he has used to promote events from his personal life and career as well. He is also active on Instagram, though his fan base is rather less, with only around 4,500 followers.[1]
