Egypt Covington was an American singer based in Belleville, Michigan. [1]

Life and Activities

She was a local singer, who had won Country Idol at Fraser's Pub in Ann Arbor, Michigan in the past. [1]

Death

On June 23, 2017, at about 7:15 p.m., Covington's body was found by a friend who stopped to visit her at her home in the 45000 block of Hull Road in Van Buren Township. [1]

Authorities believe her death is not random and she possibly knew her killer.

A cause of death is has not been revealed.
