Easton Vonderschmidt was a 16-year-old from Rulo, Nebraska. ^[1]

Easton grew up in Nebraska and attended Sacred Heart High School. An athlete, Easton was a member of his school's football, basketball, and track squads. In 2016, he helped lead his football team to a state championship. Easton was in a relationship with his girlfriend, Olivia Welch. In his free time, Easton enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Easton is remembered for his infectious smile, strong work ethic, and generosity towards others. ^[undefined]

During the afternoon of July 17th around 2:30 pm, Easton was involved in a collision on Highway 159 with his pickup truck and another vehicle.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
