In 2018, he performed on the Boys of Summer Tour and was a supporting act on Mark Thomas's tour. He released his first two singles, "Love Like Us" and "End of the Night" in 2019.

Hartman’s long-term aspiration of becoming an actor became a reality in 2018, when he was roped in to play a gay teen named Noah in the Ian Liberatore-directed drama film ‘An American Hate Crime.’ In the same year, he also became part of a music tour called ‘Boys of Summer,’ which spanned from July 21 to August 19.

Hartman received his big breakthrough in 2018, when he was roped in to play Noah in a drama film titled ‘An American Hate Crime.’ In the Ian Liberatore-directed film, Hartman played a gay teen who is victimized by a group of homophobic teenagers.
