Drae Bowles is a University of Tennessee wide receiver who allegedly came to the aid of a friend who was raped by fellow football players A.J. Johnson and Michael Williams. Bowles drove the friend to her apartment, where she was later taken to the hospital.

Later that day, Bowles claimes he was punched in the locker by teammate Curt Maggitt, who said that Bowles had betrayed the team.
