Demetrios Zamboglou (born September 7, 1981) is a Cypriot Financial Technology expert and an entrepreneur. In addition to his expertise in FinTech, he is also acknowledged as the FX expert, CFD veteran,^[1] risk manager, analyst, and a business strategist.^[2]

In 2018, Zamboglou received his Ph.D. in Behavioral Finance from King's College London.^[3][4] Dr. Demetrios Zamboglou graduated from Cass Business School in 2006, with a Master’s of Science degree in Finance.^[5] He also attended Lancaster University for a Master’s degree in Computer System Engineering, in 2005.^[6]

After graduating in 2006, Dr. Zamboglou began his career as a Junior Dealer at SpreadCo.^[7]

In 2008, he started working at Alpari UK Group of Companies as a Market Risk Analyst and Project Coordinator of their Trading Department.

In February 2012, he started serving the Forex Club Group of Companies as a Chief Risk Officer.^[5]

Later, in 2013 Zamboglou worked at Zebra Capital Markets as a Chief Executive Officer for two years.

In the same year, he also founded Zebrafx in China and served as its founder and CEO, a position he left in two years to join ForexTime.^[5]

In 2015, Zamboglou joined FXTM as the General Manager, where he established FXTM’s London Operations in 2016.^[10]

In 2017, he started working as a Chief Business Development Officer at Lykke AG, a FinTech company.

He serves as the Head of Operations at Lykke-Cyprus.^[11][12]

Zamboglou also worked as the Chief Operating Officer at ICON Capital Reserve, SA.^[14] As of 2019, he works at BABB, the blockchain bank, as the company's Chief Operating Officer.^[13]

He is a member of the Institute of Directors (IoD), Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), and the Behavioural Finance Working Group (QMUL).

Zamboglou served on the Postgraduate and Research Committee at King’s College London.^[15][16]

He was one of the 30 blockchain experts that were invited to speak at the iCoin Summit,^[18] and was also a panelist at the St. Petersburg economic forum.^[17]

He contributes articles on bitcoin to Finance Magnates.^[24]

Zamboglou's accomplishments include:
