Sumiko Iwamuro is a DJ in Tokyo, Japan, who goes by Dj Sumirock. She is one of the oldest DJ's in the world. ^[0]

Iwamuro spends her days making dumplings at her family owned Chinese restaurant she runs in Tokyo. She's been making dumplings for over 60 years. Iwamuro noticed her calling a few years ago after a party planner was so impressed by her playlist at her son's birthday party that he asked her to play music at one of his events.

Iwamuro then began taking lessons at a local music school where she learned to DJ, after her husband of 50 years passed away.

^[1]She now plays techno at several nightclubs in Tokyo's redlight district, Kabukicho. Iwamuro plays techno however she likes to mix it up with jazz, french chanson, and a bit of classical music. ^[3]
