Dj Luke Nasty

Dj Luke Nasty (born 01/20/1991) is a DJ and rapper from Leterrance Davis in High Point, North Carolina. He moved from playing the saxophone in his high school band, to being a DJ at his college radio station, to spending three weeks at no. 1 on Rap Airplay.

Early Life

The DJ and rapper Luke Nasty was born Leterrance Davis in High Point, North Carolina. Luke Nasty started doing music right from high school by writing poems before joining choir. He began by just freestyling at the house, and lter transferred schools he joined the 336 Boyz group as a saxophonist. Joining 336 Boyz group allowed him to travel throughout the state. [1][7][8]

Dj Luke Nasty proceeded into Winston-Salem State University to study Mass Communication and graduated in 2013. In college he had a radio show on campus, and at the same time streamed his set live from the club. He later worked as a Dj and then he realized that music was going to be part of his life regardless of whatever form it comes in.[4]

Career

Luke Nasty's 336 Boyz group released two albums "I Told You So" and "Full Cups and Empty Bottles" in 2010 and 2012 respectively. His first solo project was the slick, laid-back album called Highway Music: Stuck in Traffic, which featured the explicit single "Might Be," a freestyle rapped over Anderson.Paak's sample of Xscape's "Who Can I Run To." Released in September 2015, "Might Be" broke into the Billboard 200 and topped the Rap Airplay chart in early 2016. At the end of the year, he released the Boom Boom Room EP, a collection of dance tracks that included the single "OTW" featuring 2 Chainz. [5]

In 2018, he released the album Cruise Control, which featured collaborations with DaBaby, Rotimi, Boss Bundles, and G. Yamazawa.[6] The single "Bread" arrived in 2019.[7]

Personal Life

He's a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and also a huge fan of Marshawn Lynch.[4]

Social Media

He has over 119k followers on Instagram where most of his feeds are clips or performances and life activities[2]. Also, Nasty has a YouTube channel where he made most of his released videos available. His channel has 302k subscribers and close to 98 millions views.[3]
