On Monday March 19, 2018, Murray was taken into custody after he allegedly beat his friend, Giovanni Diazo, to death with a baseball bat.
Murray was killed near his home in a wooded area in Caloosa Lake Village, a mobile home community just east of U.S.

He was previously charged with two counts of battery against Diaz in March 2016, and one count of domestic battery against his father, Paul Murray, in March 2017.
