Joshua Taylor, better known as Desto Dubb, is an American rapper, entrepreneur, and cough syrup enthusiast based in Los Angeles, California.

Dubb is originally from Watts, Los Angeles, California. He attended Crenshaw High School.

In the past, Dubb had sold lean but once he was thrown in jail, he had to find more legitimate hustles to support himself.

A video of his arrest went viral where a cop says to Dubb "that's an awful lot of cough syrup, you must be sick or something" in which Dubb responds by coughing profusely.

Dubb was inspired to make shirts from the incident that have the statement "THAT'S A AWFUL LOT OF COUGH SYRUP" and a double cup on the back, which have since sold in significant numbers.

Athough Dubb has been selling shirts since 9th grade and learned how to sew, this particular line of clothing was his biggest success.

Dubb would Airbnbhis apartment in downtown LA to help support himself as well. In addition, he became a tattoo artist and has given tattoos to the likes of YG, Nipsey Hussle, and Lil Pump.

Dubb was motivated to start rapping after being in the scene for a while and wanting to have a creative outlet.

In the past, Dubb was the "Mack Maine" of his crew, supporting his friends with whatever requests they had for weed, women, etc. He was a part of the Club Paradise Tour with Drake and ASAP Rocky.

In 2016, Dubb released his first project Born To Sale Juice in which the title track produced by Fizzle was the biggest hit. The project was retweeted by Drakeo The Ruler and was featured in XXL Magazine. It was through networking within Los Angeles scene as well as the SoundCloud rap scene that he linked up with Adam22 and went on the first No Jumper tour with Lil Pump and Smokepurpp.

Early influences of Desto include Juvenile, Old Cash Money, and Master P. Desto's name is an acronym that stands for "Don't Ever Stop Trying." Desto does not plan on being a rapper forever and aspires to start his own label, clothing store, and tattoo shop.
