What problem is Dent Wireless trying to solve
Dent (DENT) is a novel blockchain-based project that is a new look at the old paradigm of the telecom company (telco).
Dent (DENT) has created a virtual telco and worldwide data marketplace, all on the back of the blockchain and with a built-in utility currency to facilitate the exchange of data.
Dent (DENT) allows mobile data to flow freely across networks just like any decentralized Cryptocurrency can.
DENT provides a missing global platform for consumers who are locked to one regional operator, ultimately limiting their purchasing and usage abilities.
DENT aims to solve the consumer problems of exorbitant fees for roaming outside their “home” region and high data fees by adding interoperability across global data plans, unlocking consumers, and returning billions of dollars in value to the mobile data ecosystem.
DENT is among the first players in the space to not only unbundle data plan from carriers but also depart from the concept of traditional SIM cards themselves, by leveraging cloud and blockchain-focused solutions for users.

DENT is an ERC-20 token built on Ethereum, which gives the built-in smart contract functionality needed to run a blockchain-based mobile data marketplace.
DENT has four primary elements:
Mobile Data Marketplace: This is where users will be able to use DENT tokens to buy and sell mobile data. Sellers will receive DENT tokens for their allocations, while buyers can acquire DENT tokens from exchanges. DENT has also created an Offer Wall where users can acquire free DENT by playing games, completing surveys, and more.
Mobile Data Exchange: DENT has created an exchange where more than 13 million users are already buying, selling, and trading tokenized mobile data packages.
DENT Mobile Apps: The DENT mobile applications are the primary interface for accessing the DENT Exchange and for interacting with the Offer Wall. Dent (DENT) coin is owned by the company called DENT Wireless Limited.
DENT Wireless LTD, based in Hong Kong, was founded in 2014 when Tero Katajainen decided to develop an automated Forex market (Foreign exchange market) system with built-in Risk management functions. Parts of this project are now integrated into the DENT Marketplace to allow buying and selling of mobile data packages.

Tero Katajainen: is the Chief executive officer and Co-Founder Of Dent (DENT) project with background experience in forex trading systems and mobile operator payments as a Tech startup Entrepreneur. He holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tampere, Finland. He was also one of the first developers to implement a direct mobile operator payment system in consumer mobile applications.[17]
Mikko Linnamäki: is the Co-Founder of DENT who has serial entrepreneur throughout his career with background knowledge in fundamental mobile architecture.[18]
Andreas Vollmer: is the Co-Founder of DENT who is a mobile specialist. He has been developing mobile apps for over 12 years and is the co-founder of a mobile app development company called TDsoftware.[19]
Henrik Erkkonen: is the Chief Technology Officer of DENT who holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialization in security and communication systems.[20]
Ville Sundell: is the Smart contract Specialist of the Dent project. He is a Finnish smart contract developer who has pioneered smart contract-based legal entities, being the first to create companies solely on the Ethereum blockchain without any human intervention through Etherprises LLC.[22][23]

Essentially, it’s a trading platform with the likes of a stock market, forex, and similar markets.

eSIMSs and Soft SIMs are the technologies that DENT utilizes in the changing landscapes of Subscriber identity module (SIM) technology. The eSIM and Soft SIM technology untethers users from physical SIM cards and uses electronic and cloud-based models.
An eSIM means (“Embedded Subscriber Identification Module”) is a programmable SIM card that is embedded inside a device and can be connected to any mobile network.
An eSIM is a SIM chip that is built-in from the get-go, while a Soft SIM doesn’t have any SIM hardware at all (delivered virtually over the air).
