Deme has been a Photographer and Videographer for many years, using YouTube as his preferred platform to upload videos for almost an entire decade. [7] [2]
Known to shoot politically driven videos, he has recently been the target of different leftist organizations for the way that Deme has chosen to cover their behavior and ideologies in the number of protest and marches that have occurred around the city of Portland.
Beaverton Police Arrest

In October, 2014, after a man named Matthew Cale and his friend were at a park carrying a rifle and shotgun.
In Beaverton, you are required to have a concealed handgun license to carry loaded guns, so when approached by officers, they hold up their IDs.
Nothing out of the ordinary occurred.
Yet, when Deme decided to film the Beaverton Police station from the outside with his video camera, tensions rose.
Deme made more than 6 visits where he would stand outside and begin recording.
His initial intention was to capture Police officers at crime scenes making arrests and to also hold them accountable.
He didn't know where to start so he began paying visits to the Department.
In late, 2014, he was issued a he was served trespass papers banning him from the
property.
Deme asked why he was being removed from the property and the officer refused to answer, instead he tried to stuff the papers inside Deme's backpack.
Deme said this to the police officer: "I am leaving.
You fucking watch yourself next time, you piece of shit."
Deme left and within an hour, as he investigated the property line of the police station, a police officer came to arrest him.
According to the report and testimony, Deme was peppered sprayed and tasered in order to make the arrest.
Deme was not resisting arrest, but he refused to accept the documents being handed to him.
His bond was set at $50,000, so he was imprisoned for more than 2 weeks.
He eventually pleaded guilty.
The two scenarios of Deme and the gun carrying Cale played very differently.
Lucy Vs. Deme
Moments when Antifa member Lucy Elizabeth Smith punches Deme who wears a gopro to capture it.
On June 10th of 2017, Deme Cooper took to the Hollywood District in NE Portland where a march was underway. The march was "March Against White Nationalism" which was organized by Oregon Student Empowered. He wore a body camera, a GoPro, and began to follow a group of Antifa members walking ahead. Among the people in the group also included Lucy Elizabeth Smith. [8]
Deme eventually gets close to the group and begins to exchange words as one of the
members brushes their Anarchist Black and Red flag across his face as he stands there. Eventually, the confrontation escalates as Lucy approaches Deme and aggressively asks him to leave and to "Get the fuck away from our march", and tries to shut down Deme by telling him to "Shut the fuck up". [8]
Deme and Lucy get face to face.
Deme is encircled by some of the other Antifa members as the flags attempt to hide the identity of Lucy.
While they confront each other, another man, a bystander begins to get footage of the confrontation.
Deme continues to instigate Lucy and daring her to use violent force.
Eventually, she gives in and throws a punch.
Deme then says, "that's all you got?" and tries throwing his own punch before Lucy blocks it but then manages to body slam her to the ground.
