She won Best Actress of the year (Theater) in 2005 for her performance in Drunkard[12] She is also the winner of ROCK Calendar Model 2012[28] and made it to the top 13 finalists at the the Femina Beauty Pageants in 2013[7] She authored the psychological thriller 'The Maze (Dark Shadows)' in 2016 that gained her global recognition[10] and a spot on the National List Of Notable Kuwaitis the same year[2] In 2021 she was listed among the Global Fashion Style Icons[26][31][41]
Early & Personal Life:
As a child she grew up with a life between Kuwait and Birmingham, England.[24]
After the early passing of her mother, her father re-married and she was legally adopted by her mother's sister Judy Caleb, connecting her to India, from where her career gained recognition***.*** [19]
Career:
Alvares established herself in theatre as an award winning stage actress and play-writer, being a part of several stage dramas before moving into films and television.
She became known for her breakout role as Svetlana Rodriguez in the movie Expect the Unexpected (2011)[25] A couple of years later she returned back to theatre and is seen more on stage than on screen[26]

Apart from being the play writer on three full length plays Four Wonders (2007), Ms. Brown (2007) and Murder Mystery (2008), she has also authored the psychological thriller and crime fiction novel The Maze (Dark Shadows) published by a New York based publishing house[23][10][14][15] She was noted as one of the youngest debuting authors to have written in that genre at the time[26]
Her novel was reported to be a fast-seller at its opening week in New York, and one of July 2016's best-sellers in Australia.[1][11] followed by a successful US book tour that extended to the UK, Kuwait and Australia.[3][8][21][23] Following which, Alvares was listed among the Notable Kuwaitis that same year for her internationally acclaimed work as a writer[2][25]
