Del Toro was founded in 2005 and originally sought to fill a void in the marketplace for affordable customized velvet slippers.

Inspiration for the brand is drawn from a combination of Matthew’s Italian heritage, a Palm Beach prep aesthetic from his childhood, and edgy New York and Japanese street style.
