On Saturday, January 13, 2018 Collier died after being struck by a vehicle while sledding in Newburgh, Indiana. ^{[undefined] [1]} She was hit by the car after she slid onto the roadway at the Old Lock and Dam. ^{[undefined] [1]}

When officers arrived at around 10:00 p.m. local time, Collier was pronounced dead at the scene.
