David Mueller is a radio DJ from Denver, Colorado. He was a radio presenter for KYGO-FM. He made headline news in 2013 when Taylor Swift accused him of grabbing her bare bottom during a photo shoot in 2013.

David Mueller co-hosted the Denver country music station KYGO’s Ryno and Jackson show, as “Jackson”.

He worked at the radio station until June 4, 2013.

It was also reported that Mueller worked as a DJ in Minneapolis, but his contract was terminated after it was revealed that he had another contract with Nineball Radio Networks.

On June 2, 2013, David Mueller met pop singer Taylor Swift at the Pepsi Center with his then-girlfriend Shannon Melcher. They met backstage, as Mueller was Swift's 'meet-and-greet' for her *Red * tour. After some small talk, Mueller, Swift, and Melcher all posed for a photo. Taylor Swift accused Mueller of putting his hand inside Taylor Swift's skirt and grabbing her bare bottom. Swift informed one of her security team members and he confronted Mueller while he was still inside the Pepsi Center building. ^[3]

Mueller claimed the photo just shows him trying to jump into the frame.

When the story made headline news, Mueller got fired from his position at KYGO.

After being fired, Mueller accused Taylor Swift of lying about him sexually assaulting her.

He sued Swift, her mother (Andrea Swift) and one of her managers Frank Bell for making him lose his job. ^[2]He sued for $257,000. ^[5]

Shortly after, in October 2015, Swift countersued for sexual assault; she sued for $1, which sources claim to be a symbolic gesture to get justice over the man who violated her and to represent those who feel silenced by a sexual assault."

When he was on trial, Muelle testified that he touched her arm and ribs while "jostling" for the photo.

He did not touch my arm.

He did not touch my hand.

He grabbed my bare ass."

On August 11, 2017, Judge William J. Martínez dismissed David Mueller's case. He ruled that Mueller can’t prove Swift got him fired from his job. ^[6]

Swift's countersuit was ruled in favor of Swift.
