David Alexander Haiman was a resident of Hibbing, Minnesota.

On June 26, 2016 Haiman's head and torso were found in the woods in the small community of Ball Club, Minnesota.

Joseph Thoresen is accused of striking Haiman with a baseball bat, stabbing him in the lungs with a machete, and beheading him after learning Haiman allegedly raped his girlfriend.

Police believe the murder took place on June 21, 2016.  

The confrontation occurred in Thoresen's apartment where the couple attacked Haiman.

After calming down, the three allegedly left to smoke Marijuana and Methamphetamine together.

At a later time Thoresen came up behind Haiman in Ball Club, Minnesota, and began hitting him with a baseball bat.

He then stabbed him multiple times and decapitated him.

Thoresen disposed of the head in the woods, but left the torso behind.
