Dave Salvant is an American entrepreneur. He is the Co-founder and President of Squire Technologies. [1]
Education
He is a graduate University at Albany with a degree in Political Science and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he stopped short of earning a MBA in Corporate finance and Investment banking to found Squire. [1]
Career
Dave worked as an account manager for Infogroup in 2008. A year and a half later he moved over to J. P. Morgan and worked as a private client banker for a while before a regional sales associate at insurance giant AXA US. In 2015, Salvant started Squire alongside his partner Songe LaRon. The company graduated from Y Combinator's 2016 batch and in 2017 the two founders won $650,000 fro the 43North Pitch competition. In preparation for Squire, Dave even owned operated a Barbershop for a little over a year, he said: [5][6][8]
"It was in Chelsea Market. It served as a kind of test kitchen, so to speak, to test our software, and figure out what our customers wanted. So, it is great to have firsthand experience on how to operate a Barbershop, and then build products and services that would work. That is something we might get into again in the future, but it was a great experience."
