Dareh Ardashes Gregorian born 24th March 1970, in Austin, Texas[2], USA, is an American typist, researcher, Journalist as well as areporter, who is perhaps best known for being the spouse of the famous The New York Times’ journalist Maggie Haberman. Apart from this, he is also widely recognized as the son of Armenian-American academic and the former president of the Carnegie Corporation, Vartan Gregorian.
Early Life
Dareh was born the youngest of three sons of Clare Nancy Russell and Vartan Gregorian, under the zodiac sign of Aries on the 24th March 1970, in Austin, Texas, USA, and apart from being of American nationality, he is also of Armenian ancestry from his father side.
He was raised alongside two older brothers named Vahé and Raffi by their mother who was the chairwoman of Literary Partners adult education school.
She passed away in 2018.
When it comes to his educational background, after matriculating from a local high school in 1988, Dareh enrolled at Boston University, from which he graduated in 1992 earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and mass communication.
Personal
He is married to a famous American journalist and The New York Times’ White House correspondent Maggie Haberman who he first met in 1996 during his tenure at New York Post. What began as a friendship quickly turned into a love story, and the duo began dating shortly after. The couple deepened their relationship, and Dareh and Maggie’s wedding ceremony took place in November 2003 at the Tribeca Rooftop event venue on Manhattan.
With their family, counting three children named Max, Miri and Dashiell, they resides in New York City’s Brooklyn. He is active on popular Social media network Twitter, on which his official profile – @darehgregorian has amassed over 3,000 followers.
Career
Dareh began his professional career right upon his graduation when he joined a former weekly newspaper magazine, New York Observer, for which he began his tenure as a reporter. After only a couple of months, due to his great talent and potential as well as his work, he was appointed as its researcher. After honing his professional skills in a course of a year, Gregorian then transferred to The New York Post where he served not only as a reporter, but as an editor as well. Between mid 1990s and 2012, apart from The New York Post, he was also serving as the Supreme Court’s official reporter as well as the reporter for the New York City Police Department
Between 2013 and 2016, he completed reporting tasks for The New York Daily News before being appointed as its political editor, covering the entire area of New York City.
Speaking as of present day, apart from the latter position, he is also regularly contributing and reporting for the NBC News broadcasts. Due to his professionalism and copious reporting experience, he was inducted into the New York Press Club. Additionally, over the years, he has added numerous accolades to his professional portfolio, including even the New York City Police Department’s Crimestoppers Award.
