On December 21, 2017, Lake was arrested on allegations of having a sexual relationship with two underage male students.
Seven of the nine counts listed in her indictment occurred between February 1, 2017 and November 1, 2017. The other two counts occurred between March 1, 2017, and August 31, 2017.
She appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court for arraignment on December 27, 2017.
She pleaded not guilty to nine counts of sexual battery against the two students.
She faces a maximum possible of five years in prison for each count.
