Darbrett Montreal Black is an American Career criminal in the state of Texas who was on the run on Thanksgiving 2017 after it was reported that he killed a Police officer. ^[1]

Black has been in trouble with the law for evading arrest, aggravated assault of a public servant and reckless driving.

On Thanksgiving Day 2017, a trooper had made a traffic stop that turned violent. He was shot by Black, who immediately fled the scene driving a Chevy Malibu, with Texas plates JDN4273. The car was registered under a different person's name whom law enforcement believe to be an accomplice in the shooting. ^[undefined]

After being on the run for several hours, he was finally arrested in a shootout with Waller County Deputies. Black drove in Waller County where he was spotted by a deputy. Once he was cornered, gunshots between officers and the suspect began. The Swat team eventually was involved.
