Danielle Hughes is Co-founder of Detroit Speaks.

In November, 2014, Danielle became a Co-founder and COO of Detroit Speaks, Nonprofit organization with a mission of inspiring 13-17 year old students in Metropolitan-Detroit to increase their social awareness and responsibility, as well as community involvement. Besides, she is a Contributor at Black Enterprise Magazine. ^[9]

Previously, she worked as an Anchor / Reporter for WRDW-TV. She came to the CBS affiliate from Dothan, Alabama, where she began her journalism career as a Journalist for WDHN. ^[10]

Prior to that, Danielle was a News Intern at WSB-TV and served as the President of the Atlanta Association of Black Journalists. ^[10]From 2012 to 2014, Danielle was an Intern at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. ^[9]

Danielle was featured in the Forbes 30 Under 30 (2018). ^[2]

Danielle graduated from Georgia State University in May of 2014 with a B.A in Journalism. ^[9]
