Danielle Gersh (born 22nd February) is an American journalist, news anchor and weathercaster based at CBS. She gives reports on the weather surrounding Los Angeles.^[1]

Danielle Gersh was born on 22nd February in Los Angeles, California, United States. Detail about her year of birth is not known to the public because she keeps her personal life out from the public. She was raised in Westlake Village which is far west end of Los Angeles County with her younger brother whose name is Ethan Gersh. ^[2][3]

The name of her mother is Lori Gersh.

Danielle went to Southern Methodist University in 2009 where she studied and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Convergence Journalism in 2013. She also attended Mississippi State University in 2013 where she obtained Bachelor of Science in Meteorology.^[4]

Danielle Gersh started her career in June 2010 when she was interned as a Story Developer in FishBowl Worldwide Media; a Los Angeles-based media outlet. ^[5]

After leaving, she started working as a Fashion Blogger, Editor, and Freelancer at Abby Gregory, a company based in Dallas, Texas, FishBowl in August 2010 and 2011.

Danielle was the first after her internship to start a weather forecast segment on the morning forecast of her school, SMU-TV.

Since January 2012 till May 2013 she worked there.

She also began a five-month internship on the weather unit of CBS DFW during that period.^[6]

The internship lasted til May 2013.

During the launch of the George W. Bush Presidential Library Back in April 2013, while on campus, she helped her school and other media outlets run by students in providing coverage.

Having joined KESQ / CBS Local 2 and WHDH (TV) as a weathercaster, her career took a whole new turn.

She stayed there till September 2013.

Two years later, she moved to WHDH (TV) where she had worked as an anchor for traffic and weather.

Danielle joined CBC News as a meteorologist in January 2017 after departing from WHDH.

Her reporting, among other moments, of a 700-year desert storm as a weekend weathercaster in Palm Springs, California made her famous throughout her career. This earned her the nomination for an Emmy Awards.

She was listed for 40th Boston / New England Emmy Nominations under the news-report light series in 2017.

Danielle likes riding horse, traveling to different locations, trekking, passing time with her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in her free time.
