Their dog was also found in a bathtub inside one of the bathrooms.
The police and other authorities affirm that the violent was an apparent family murder/suicide that took place.
The police went to investigate the family home after another relative called out of concern for the family.
The neighbors of the family who go by the Tristanis, find the death of the family puzzling as they knew Lauren to be a hard-working person who enjoyed working on her yard and also worked on remodeling her house on her own.
[6]Lauren would often borrow tools from the Tristanis to work on her home projects.
They recall a time when she tried to recruit them into becoming a part of the Jehova's Witness, but they declines as they are Catholics.
Jehova's Witness
A friend of the family who goes by the name of Joyce Taylor, blames the Jehova's Witness church for the family murder/suicide.
As a reaction to the tragedy, Taylor attended the Kingdom Hall service on Sunday, days after the murder took place and expressed the religion’s controversial practices.
she had an “outburst”, she said the following: [4]
“Excuse me everyone, My name is Joyce Taylor...
Two days ago, four people died as a result of your shunning process...
Five years ago you people pulled your support from this small family, the only support they had was you people.
You turned them away and you shunned them...
For what?!!
Because they wanted to raise their children as they saw fit.”
Taylor says that Lauren was shunned by the people involved in the church everywhere she went.
Because her husband Daniel wanted to have their children attend College, the church did not allow it, and they chose to have a different kind of life that came with consequences related to the way the church treated them in the neighborhood.
