Career
Daniel Silva Takes On Ryan Ashley: Tattoo Face Off | Ink Master: Angels (Season 1)
Silva made his reality television debut on the sixth episode of the first season of Ink Master: Angels, the spinoff of tattoo competition series Ink Master. He won the 2 Hour Elimination Tattoo challenge where he could tattoo any subject, any style, but the placement had to be on the neck. He won the 4 Hour Elimination Tattoo challenge where he got to choose his canvas, but the placement was decided by the canvas. One canvas wanted it on her ankle and the other wanted it on her sternum, Silva chose the former. He then won the Angel Face Off Tattoo challenge against Ryan Ashley Malarkey, who later won the first season. They were competing for a spot on Ink Master's tenth season.
He returned for the sixth season of the second season of Ink Master: Angels as a guest judge. He was judging the work of Mike Wallace and Ryan Ashley Malarkey, who he had won against in the previous season.
Silva then appeared on Season 10 of Ink Master on Team Anthony. He had only 3 years of prior experience when he was on the show. He ended in 7th place and was eliminated on the 12th episode. He was Coaches' Bottom Pick three times, on the seventh, eighth and twelfth episodes.
Legal trouble
On May 10, 2020, Silva attended YouTuber friend Corey La Barrie's 25th birthday party. They left the party together, allegedly intoxicated, and got into a car accident, leaving Silva with a broken hip but tragically killing La Barrie. Silva was in the driver's seat.
Police told news outlets that they were driving around in a McLaren sports car and "crashed into a street sign and tree." The passenger's side took most of the hit. Both were transported to a hospital in Los Angeles, California, where La Barrie was ultimately pronounced dead. [19]
The circumstances leading to the crash are under investigation by authorities.
Silva is expected to be charged with murder.
Jarrad La Barrie posted a heartfelt message to his brother on Instagram, where he referenced Silva as Corey's "drunk friend driving", confirming the reports that they were under the influence.[20]
