Daniel Stewart Berry is a 21-year-old business student at the University of Mississippi. He originally hails from Brandon, Mississippi. ^[4]

Berry was raised in Brandon, Mississippi and attended Brandon High School where he played soccer. ^[8]After graduating, Berry went to Southern Mississippi before transferring to the University of Mississippi to study business. ^[4]In his free time, Berry enjoys snowboarding and yoyo. ^{[6] [0]}

Berry is accused of robbing a grocery store on February 7th.

He alleged entered West Union Grocery and started yelling all of the premises; he then put the cashier clerk in a chokehold for twenty minutes before officers came and arrested him after bystanders subdued him.

While in custody, Berry was acting erratically and yelling expletives at police officers.

On video, it was caught Berry headbutting one jail custody official.

His bail has been set at $200,000.
