Dan Riffle is the senior counsel and policy advisor to Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Dan Riffle is based in Washington, D.C. Riffle is known for his Twitter handle "Every Billionaire is a Policy Failure."

Dan Riffle attended Ohio State University where he graduated with a degree in political science and government degree in 2003. Dan Riffle earned his Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School in 2008. ^[1]

Early in his career, Dan Riffle was a law clerk for the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency and Legal Aid Society of Columbus. In 2008, he was a judicial extern for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and in 2009, he was an assistant prosecutor in Vinton County, Ohio. It was during this time as a prosecutor that Riffle came to the position that non-violent marijuana users should not face jail sentences. He would subsequently become the Director of Federal Policy at the Marijuana Policy Project and lobby the United States Congress on the benefits of legalizing marijuana. ^[1]

After leaving the Marijuana Policy Initiative, Dan Riffle worked for a few Congressmen including serving as communications director to former Rep. Keith Ellison and a legislative aide to former Rep. John Conyers. In January 2019, he became a policy advisor to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
