Education
Much information is not available about her basic and elementary education.
For her University she attended Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Dramatic Arts before proceeding to the University of Lagos where she obtained a Master's degree in Theatre Arts. [2]
Career
Acting from the onset has been a path in which Damilare Kuku aimed to one day tread.
Watching movies such as Yemi My Lover and Sound of Music only helped to fuel the drive of becoming a part of the movie industry.
An inspiration for her to take the big step into choosing acting came after she watched 24 (TV series) TV series that portrayed a black American president ,touched by the fact she could be whatever she wanted as a role in acting she made up her mind to go full time into acting seeing that the profession was indeed a great source of inspiration to the populace. Making up her mind she informed her mother and began to pursue expertise in the movie industry hook, line and sinker, this she did by directing small theatre productions, attending audition s, and interning in production companies, also engaging in other activities that would aid her development and help her to learn more. Understanding that success in the movie industry is highly dependent on experience. [3]
After graduation she started out on the acting scene making appearances in a TV series titled Tinsel (TV series). Her first movie appearance was a movie directed by Kanayo Omo titled Kakadu the Musical also featuring in the movie is veteran actress Tina Mba.
Acting is the most powerful profession in the world; it is the only profession you can wear different hats and make people feel different emotions.
Damilare enjoys her career as she claims fulfillment in her chosen path that none other was going to give to her ,she enjoys the fact that by accessing people’s worlds through this powerful media tool ,she can experience their truth and connect more with them at the same time reaching out to them.it gives her joy and a taste of fulfillment when she is sited in rooms with actors, directors, producers, and so many other experts. She gone on to make appearances in movies like Chief Daddy, Castle and Castle, Hear Word (Pidgin Version), Bodyguard and Zahra, Ten Virgins, Hotel Majestic, The outcast, Chatroom, Kakadu the Musical, Child International, Ewa, e.t.c [4]
Trivia
She gets inspiration from a lot of trail blazers in the industry which include; Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Stella Damascus, Rita Dominic, Kate Henshaw, Jim Iyke, Blessing Egbe, Ramsey Nouah, Merly Streep and Kristen Wiig. [5]
