Rigsby attended Fluvanna County High School. [2]Rigsby volunteered for the Lake Monticello Fire Department. [6] [5]

Death

On June 17, 2017, Rigsby, and six other sailors were reported missing and at least two, including the captain, were injured after their U.S. destroyer collided with a merchant ship off the coast of Japan before dawn. [5] [6]
