Dreadlocks Incident

On March 28, 2016, SFSU student Austin King posted a YouTube video capturing an interaction between Goldstein and Bonita Tindle, a Black student assistant at San Francisco State University. Goldstein and Tindle were recorded having a discussion about cultural appropriation in an SFSU hallway in the Cesar Chavez Student Center.

Tindle confronted Goldstein about his dreadlocks, particularly how it was a form of cultural appropriation because he is not Black. [1]
