Corey Menafee was a dining hall worker at Yale University from 2007-2016.
He lives in New Haven, Connecticut, where he originally hails from.
Corey studied at Virginia Union University.
In July 2016, Corey was fired from Yale for breaking a stained glass depicting slaves picking cotton [-1]in the dining hall of Calhoun College, where he worked as a dishwasher.
Corey was arrested and faces a second-degree misdemeanor charge of reckless endangerment and a first-degree felony charge of criminal mischief.
Although she did not admit that is was as a result of Corey breaking the window, Calhoun Head of College Julia Adams announced to students that the window was being removed.
Yale students have established a Go Fund Me to help with Corey's legal fees.
