Cocos-BCX (COCOS) Cryptocurrency
Cocos-BCX (COCOS) is a public blockchain platform aiming to create a complete run-time environment for games with multi-game system compatibility, providing game developers a user-friendly platform for blockchain game development.[7]
Mission
Cocos-BCX aims to assetize the content of the digital world, building consistent value system between the producers and the consumers, and to provide an improved and easy-to-use blockchain gaming infrastructure for game developers, including a visualized development kit and an on-chain ecosystem.
Overview
Cocos-BCX is directly supported by COCOS Creator, a visual game editor, by which the game produced can be run in the Cocos-BCX blockchain runtime environment.
Cocos-BCX provides digital asset wallets to a variety of operating platforms, such as Android, iOS, and Windows, ensuring that mainstream users can participate in asset circulation. Users can store game digital assets and ERC20 imported through the exchange gateway in the wallet, making it easier to transfer and purchase game coins on the circulation platform. [5]
On the other hand, Cocos-BCX ensures the security of the digital assets stored by the user in the wallet with the financial-level algorithm and KYC authentication. Cocos-BCX wallet is imbedded with a blockchain explorer for users to check on-chain information recorded in each block. Each blockchain system has its own explorer.
CocosChain is a public blockchain using a version of Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS) consensus mechanism, where all active witnesses share the same scheduled block generation probability in order to ensure consistency and fairness.
Cocos-BCX provides a visualized contract editor for developers to edit smart contracts, which is simplified from a user-friendly point of view.
The editor graphically presents the functions and methods commonly used in the contract to the user, allowing users who do not have the ability to write scripts to easily compile a contract as needed while advanced features are available for programmers with proficiency in script languages.
Cocos-BCX components are designed specifically to improve the incorporation of game content and decentralized economics. [6]
DPoS Consensus mechanism
The consensus layer of Cocos-BCX Testnet adopts the Dpos (Delegated-Proof-Of-Stake) consensus algorithm, where stakeholders elect all scheduled witnesses by voting. The scheduled witnesses are collectively referred to as active witnesses. In order for the network to function properly, the Cocos-BCX testnet requires a minimum of 11 and a maximum of 101 active witnesses. They share the same scheduled block probability in the witness-scheduling algorithm, which ensures that their block probabilities and rewards will be consistent. .[1][2][3].[4]
