Cleophus Cooksey Jr. is a suspected serial killer residing in Phoenix, Arizona .      In January 2018, authorities linked Cleophus to nine homicides in the area.    
Personal Life & Education
On his Facebook profile, Cleophus went by the name of Cleo Cooksey.  He was also an aspiring rapper who goes by the moniker King Playbola. His song titles include, “Hoodlum” and “Who Knows?” on YouTube .   
Cooksey's criminal record dates to his years as a juvenile offender. He spent all of his 20s in prison on a manslaughter conviction and has been in and out of custody in recent years.

On January 18, 2018, Phoenix authorities announced in a press conference that they had enough evidence to link Cooksey Jr. to at least seven unsolved homicides in metro Phoenix.     He was initially arrested on December 17, 2017, on suspicion of killing his mother and stepfather.   
The two bodies were found in their living room that day, both killed of apparent gunshot wounds .
