Clara Soledad Forman was a fitness instructor and mother of two residing in Kelowna, British Columbia. Her friends and family remember her as a nice woman who was an outstanding mother and devoted wife. On December 19, 2017 Clara, her husband Jacob Forman and their two children were found dead. Jacob Forman has been charged in the murder suicide.
Early Life
Clara Forman is a native of Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. She attended COBACH Plantel BC in Mexicali for high school.
Education
Clara studied Management at the Autonomous University of Baja California, Campus Mexicali.
Personal Life
Clara Forman met Jacob Forman and got married in Mexico, where Jacob Forman was training to become a pastor at the time.
The couple moved to Kelowna, British Columbia around 2007. The couple later had two daughters, Karina and Yesenia.
The family were devoted churchgoers attending every week.
Clara and Jacob had raised their daughters to be bilingual.
Career
When she first moved to Canada, Clara Forman worked as a Cashier for a Real Canadian Superstore grocery store. She later became a fitness instructor at a GoodLife Fitness gym in Kelowna. She was beloved by clients and had many positive interactions with everyone at the gym.
Death
On December 22, 2017 Clara Forman her husband Jacob Forman and their two daughters, Karina and Yesenia were found dead in their Kelowna home. Police found the bodies after being called to the home. Court documents suggest that the deaths occurred on December 17, 2017.
Jacob Forman has been charged with three counts of second-degree murder in connection with the case. He appeared in court Thursday to face the charges.
The suspect’s lawyer, Glenn Verdurmen, addressed the charges outside a B.C. courthouse Thursday.
“Obviously he’s facing the worst possible thing he could be facing at this point in time,” Verdurmen told CTV Vancouver. “I can’t really speak for him, but he’s obviously holding up in court today, and I’m able to take instructions from him.”
