Claire Weinland is an entrepreneur who lives her daily life with the chronic illness called cystic fibrosis. She is the founder of Claire's Place Foundation and The Clarity Project, the former an award-winning non-profit organization that provides support to families living with CF. She started the company when she was 13 years old and has become an advocate for people who suffer from the disease. ^[undefined]

Due to her condition, with the help her mother, she has founded the organization where she encourages people with terminal diseases to live with passion.

She was honored by The Los Angeles Business Journal with the award for "Nonprofit & Corporate Citizenship Awards". She also received the "Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes". ^[undefined]

She was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in Venice. Ever since she was a young girl, she has undergone dozens of surgeries, one of which caused her to become septic and led to lung failure on April 13, 2010, three days after her birthday. Claire was put on an oscillator vent and entered into a medically induced coma, from which she woke up after more than two weeks. ^[undefined]

After this episode, she decided to start a foundation where people with the disease can get proper treatment and support during their existentialist experience.

She has gone on to give talks around the country, and has helped thousands of people.
