Cindy Waldron
Cindy Waldron
Cindy Waldron was a professional photographer and resident of Lithgow. She attended University of Waikato.
Death
On May 29, 2016 Waldron was swimming with a friend, Leeann Mitchell at Thorton Beach in Queensland, Australia in waist deep water at around 10:00p.m. when a Crocodile attacked Waldron on her arm and pulled her away.
Mitchell tried to pull Waldron from the crocodile, but the croc proved too strong.
Her last words to her friend were, "A croc has got me!"
North Queensland member for parliament, Warren Entsch, who represents the region, said the victim should be blamed for the attack, not the crocodile. "You can't legislate against human stupidity," Entsch said on Monday, noting that Thornton Beach lies next to a creek where tourism operators run crocodile-spotting tours.
Personal Life
Waldron ran a photography business, Instinctive Images, specializing in Weddings for over 20 years. She started her photography career in 1987.
Waldron had lived in Australia for 18 years.
