Burrage was employed as a City clerk for the City of Jackson Hall. ^[1]

On Wednesday, January 24, 2018, Burrage and William Wade Jr. were found fatally shot at a Crown Motel on Boling Street in Jackson. ^{[4] [0] [0]}

Motel employees attempted to make contact with them by phone and were not able to, and that's when police went to the room.

The door was barricaded and had to be forced open. Authorities stated their deaths appear to be a murder suicide, but the investigation is still ongoing.
