Christopher Drone Bassett is a resident based in Knoxville, Tennessee. In December 2015, he gained notoriety for confessing to be the shooter of Zaevion Dobson. [1]
He has been charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and violation of probation.
Shooting of Zaevion Dobson
On the night of December 17th and the morning of December 18th, 2016, a series of four shootings throughout the Lonsdale community occurred that appear to be gang related, but took the life of Dobson as he tried to protect two girls from the gunshots.
Dobson was not a gangbanger.
An investigator in February, 2016, claims that Bassett admitted to the involvement in the shooting, confessing to having shot Dobson with.40 caliber gun.
Murder Charges
On August 25th, 2016, Tennessee police have charged Bassett and Richard Williams with first degree murder of Dobson
The district Attorney General, Charme Allen, says the Knox County grand jury returned a 27-count indictment Wednesday against Bassett and Williams in Dobson's death, Knox County District Attorney General Charme Allen said at a news conference.
