Personal Life
Christopher was born in Los Angeles, California. He is half Chinese on his father's side, and half Mexican on his mother's. His father's name is Brian Chann and sometimes features in videos, his brother's name is Ryan and is a Cinematographer, his mother's name is Vicky. [1]
Career
On February 22, 2009 Chann launched his self-titled YouTube channel. The first video he posted was a recording of President Barack Obama saying "hello." After that, he started posting skateboarding videos like "Dragon Flip (360 Dolphin Flip)." He has accumulated over 1,200,000 subscribers and 200 million views. His "Skaters Vs. Zombies POV" video has earned over 25 million views alone. [3] [17]
He first gained notoriety in the world of professional skateboarding in 2014 when he beat Chris Cole in a skating game during the annual Battle of the Berrics skateboarding competition. [4]
In 2017, Chann starred in a docu-series called Now Boarding alongside his brother and cinematographer Ryan Chann, Jason Park, Micky Papa, and Mike Mackie aka "Stacks. In the show, he travels to places like Italy, Slovenia, Prague, Budapest, Vienna, Munich, Strasbourg, Paris, and Los Angeles. In 2018, he had the opportunity to collaborate with Casey Neistat and Jimmy Fallon on a short video. He also played himself in three episodes of Camp Woodward. [5][6][7]
